I have always been fascinated by how a piece of art being presented beyond what it appear to be. The story behind a piece of ‘product” of how it happens and what is the insight a designer have in mind resulted from the incident and finally how it is realized out.
Last year, I met with some of the most amazing people and I decided to work with them on a project. A showcase of art in the domain where I used to stand outside of the transparent wall and observed with utmost amazement.
Enter the fashion domain.
The Bourgeois Ladder is sort of like a statement, an innocent one really, about how people need to have a “permission” to do stuff or make stuff. It also then celebrates those who make things without permission and those who went through thick and thin making it.
It depicts the struggle of being someone who is not our true self or at least the suspicion that we are not, just like the bourgeoisie we going to feature in this showcase. Just like the people behind this project.
Stay tuned for more updates.
